Clements is a city in Redwood County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 153 at the 2010 census.[1]

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2), all of it land.

Principle streets in Clements include County Road 16, which connects to U.S. Highway 71 three miles to the west, and County Road 1, which connects to Minnesota Highway 68 nearly two miles to the north.

Demographics

At the 2000 census[2], there were 191 people, 76 households and 45 families residing in the city. The population density was 496.3 per square mile (194.1/km²). There were 81 housing units at an average density of 210.5 per square mile (82.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.43% White, 0.52% Native American, 0.52% Pacific Islander, and 0.52% from two or more races.

There were 76 households of which 35.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.3% were married couples living together, 3.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.5% were non-families. 32.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 3.24.

Age distribution was 32.5% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 29.8% from 25 to 44, 20.9% from 45 to 64, and 11.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 114.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 118.6 males.

The median household income was $35,000, and the median family income was $46,250. Males had a median income of $33,000 versus $16,406 for females. The per capita income for the city was $15,204. None of the families and 3.5% of the population were living below the poverty line.
